Part of the Taishan Series. These darkroom prints were made from black and white 35mm negatives.

These were shot in 1996 on Wong’s second journey to Southern China staying with relatives. This series captures everyday lives in Thai Gung Lay Village in the Taishan region. Subjects includes aunts, uncles and cousins planting rice, men and women and children hanging out, fishing, ploughing fields, selling goods, repairing bicycles.
